"Laboratory" Installation
An utopian attempt to build a laboratory for creation of eternal things in a place that will soon cease to exist. As a basis, the artist took the work by Karus Stern "The World: Its Past, Present and Future", edition of 1906 and watercolor paints. Every work is an encrypted message to the future which includes sketches of new forms of life that will never exist. Absurd or romance? "While working on the "Laboratory" project at ArtSquat, I tried not to violate the atmosphere of absolute silence and anticipation of the end in my room. I identified the main task as organic integration of my work in the environment and filling the room with objects that would help to create a workshop, a laboratory where works of art arise on the wreckage of history and science.
